AWH Colour Creations - Week 42 - Real Red

Welcome to the Colour Creations Blog Hop, Week 42.  This Week the Art With Heart Team are looking at Real Red.  Another very bright and vibrant colour.

Colours Used

My two projects this week are very similar but also very different.

The first card focuses more on stamping and I have coloured the images (flowers) using Real Red and Old Olive watercolour pencils. The flowers are from the Tea Together Stamp Set and die cut with the Tea Time Framelits.

I often forget I have the watercolour pencils so thought it was about time that they had playtime!

Very basic placement and design for this card with the large sentiment in the middle from the Amazing Life Stamp Set.  A Whisper White card base with real red cardstock for the background.  The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. A few rhinestones and this card is good to go.

The second card focused more on die-cutting and use of the Botanical Tags Framelits.  Another set I had overlooked.  The black part of the diecut is the positive image and is so delicate.  I also die cut it in real red and Call Me Clover and then used the little negative image pieces to put inside the black thinlit.

I used some leaves from the same set as well as a small one from the Animal Friends Framelits.  The sentiment is from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set.

So as you can see, same basic design for these cards, but a very different look.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my projects.  I hope that you will check out the other Real Red creations from my Art With Heart Team Members.  Click here to go to Catherine's Blog who has all the links to the rest of the team.

  3. Please don't ask me to choose as that would be to hard I love them both. I don't use roses half as much as I should do.
