At onstage I was lucky enough to win the Beautiful Day stamp set from the new Occasions Catalogue in prize patrol. It is a gorgeous set for anyone that loves to colour. The main stamps are a flower and a butterfly. It is very versatile in that you can watercolour, marker colour, pencil colour or use the new Brusho's to add textured colour. The options are endless.
I haven't really used my Stampin' Blends much so thought this would be a good opportunity to give them a try. It was a bit of a learning curve for me as I am used to copic markers and I found them a little different to master, but overall I was happy with the effect.
The flowers were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black on Whisper White Cardstock.
The flowers are coloured with two combinations.
Combination 1 - Dark Rich Razzleberry, Light Rich Razzleberry and Dark Pink Piroutte
Combiination 2 - Dark Calypso Coral, Light Calypso Coral and Dark Pink Pirouette
The centres are coloured with Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Crumb Cake.
The flowers are fussy cut out with paper snips which was very easy, the pinky/purple one mounted with dimensionals.
I cut 2 banners using the triple banner punch and heat embossed the sentiment, used the Dark Rich Razzleberry and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to colour some rhinestones and added a small bow from the 1/8" Calypso Coral Sheer Ribbon. The card base is Rich Razzleberry matted with Basic Black. Finishing touch was to cover the flowers with Wink of Stella for that added sparkle.
